Air expanding shaft is also called pneumatic roller, it is a regular winding and unwinding shaft in paper, coating, printing and other industries. It consists of lugs and a special expanding rubber tube. When injecting air source, the rubber tube pushes the lugs outward, so as to clamp paper cores or plastic cores or steel cores securely.
After exhausting air source, air let out from air nipple, then the keys shrinked back to original slot groove, products can be detached from the core.
Air expanding shaft is an independent spare part, it can be customized from 1"~12", its length is also can be made as customers' requirement accordingly.
As to its key structure, air shaft can be divided into lug type air expanding shaft and strip type air expanding shaft.
1. Lug type air expanding shaft: surface of the inflatable shaft is regularly distributed with long slotted holes, lugs fixed in the inside press board via slot groove stably. This lug type air expanding shaft is suitable for heavy coil winding and unwinding.
2. Strip type air expanding shaft: surface of the inflatable shaft is regularly distributed with round holes, outside press board fixed in the inside press board via screw and support pin stably. This strip type air expanding shaft is suitable for high pression or light coil product winding and rewinding.
