NAB model air shaft brake is composed of cylinder, piston, piston, friction plate, bushing cover, cone-shaped bushing with wedge, bearing, guide parallel pin, return springs, sealing parts (O-ring) and fastener. NAB model brake relies on air pressure to brake, return springs to release. After supplying air pressure, piston pushes piston aircraft and friction plate move towards to and compressed shaft attached lining disc, disc and other rotating parts stopped, brake braked. After exhausting air pressure, piston aircraft and friction plate are separated with shaft attached lining disc by return springs, brak released. It reduced heat generated from friction by cooling plate mounted on disc with hub. Friction plate is two-cut style, using screwdriver to take out head inside screw through hole of disc with hub, in order to replace friction plate.
NAB-5,NAB-10 model air disc brake can replace T-450 air friction disc brake fully
NAB model air disc brake is standard shaft brake, it is normally releasing. Torque adjustment range is wide, easy installation, good heat dissipation, long service life. This brake is widely used in food machinery, printing machinery, packaging machinery, tire machinery and other machinery.
NAB-5,NAB-10 model air disc brake operation precaution:
NAB model brake installs conical shaft spanned tube onto shaft in following order:
1) Embed the key into shaft inside, and get brake body through shaft.
2) Find the key, and install conical shaft spanned tube into where the key is embedded.
3) Align the cut-out of conical shaft spanned tube to the bolt hole of shaft spanned disc and use three screws to fasten them. When fasten, pay attention to see the dial indicator, and the level deviation of fitting surface of pistol.
4) Screw bolt tightening torque: NAB5, 2.5N.m; NAB10, 4.3N.m; NAB20, 8.2N.m; NAB40, 20N.m; NAB65, 29N.m.
NAB-5,NAB-10 model air disc brake operation precaution:
1. Mounted onto shaft
NAB model brake installs conical shaft spanned tube onto shaft in following order:
1) Embed the key into shaft inside, and get brake body through shaft.
2) Find the key, and install conical shaft spanned tube into where the key is embedded.
3) Align the cut-out of conical shaft spanned tube to the bolt hole of shaft spanned disc and use three screws to fasten them. When fasten, pay attention to see the dial indicator, and the level deviation of fitting surface of pistol. Try to reduce the deviation to its minimum level and fasten interlaced, equally (fasten torque recommended is as the following picture).
2. Installation onto machine table
Supported by the brake torque, fix flange portion by 4 screw bolts, put torque bolt into cut-in of brake body to prevent turning. The squareness between cover and shaft to install flange must be controlled under 0.05mm. Note: In order not to produce load to brake axis, install the conical shaft spanned tube onto shaft before making sure that there is no clearance between machine table.
